Sometimes life surprises you with the directions it can take. I was a comedy writer and performer living in NYC for twenty years which I loved and after my son was born I found myself looking for a new creative outlet. It was then that I realized that I have had a camera in my hand since I was very young.

Having my son Jaxon as my muse, I decided to explore photography and everything took off from there. Now my work as a comedian and actor influences what I do behind the camera. Whether it’s singing, making jokes, being silly, having fun brings out the best in people and the best portraits come from being relaxed and themselves.

I honed my craft in daycares where I was to connecting with 50 plus little ones a day ranging from 3 months to 5 years and that was my bootcamp. It led me to discover what was missing, not only in school portraits but other sessions as well- connection and authenticity.

I love when parents are blown away with the photos they receive of their children- the constant feedback I receive is “ you captured my child perfectly- all their nuances and quirks- you make magic” I believe that is what a photograph should be. Not a posed- cheesy faced moment, but a moment in time that represents who the child is a person. I then branched out into other types of sessions bringing a more artistic approach focusing on the beauty, joy and love of my clients.

I want everyone I photograph to feel comfortable, seen and truly special because that is what they are. Photos are magical- they freeze time and give that time back to you as a gift that only becomes more precious as the years go on. It is humbling to create art that defines moments in time that are meant to be revisited, shared and always surrounded by love.
